About the journal

The review Exercices de rhétorique stems from the conviction of the ancient rhetoricians. One must absolutely complete the reading of the treatises by the analysis of actual speeches, such an analysis being altogether a test for the treatises and a way to rethink their categories.
The review stresses the practical side of the rhetoric, and so welcomes all conceptions of rhetoric, as far as they are applied to complete speeches and texts, either antique or modern, historical or fictional.
